WELCOME TO NRG BANJOS

I have 30 years experience designing and making in wood and metal in a past life. I'm also a keen tenor banjo player with a love for all things banjo related.

I source the woods and materials, design and make the banjos, from start to finish and make sure every banjo that leaves the workshop is set up perfectly. I select only the best tone woods. All the making and fabricating is done using both traditional and modern techniques. I can apply a range off finishes including various oils, varnishing oils, and have the facilities to spray lacquer to either a gloss or satin finish, resulting in a very smooth, quick playing banjo.

NRGbanjos has now commissioned it's own tone rings, - bronze, no hole archtop, designed in conjunction with our local bronze foundry. Designed and made locally, we're supporting local small scale industries and reducing our dependency on importing tone rings with added environmental/financial costs. 

I usually have a small selection of ready made made banjos in the workshop, as well as a small stock of vintage tenor banjos. Customers are welcome to visit the workshop and try out a range of banjos.
